Most people would only put their head down a toilet basin if they were overcome with the need to vomit.

But now those searching for a way to take 'planking' to a new level of daring are getting an up close view of the U-bend too.

Christened 'plumbking', the practice of using a toilet to capture even crazier poses is catching on with pictures emerging on the internet.

One shot shows a man with his head fully inside a toilet bowl, completely upside down, supported only by his shoulders.
In another picture, a girl has her face planted inside the toilet seat while her feet rest against a nearby wall.

And in a more conventional planking pose, a young man lies horizontally across the toilet, despite the small confines of the bathroom.
Facebook groups dedicated to the practice have started, with one entitled: 'Realising how drunk you start planking the toilet.'

When planking goes wrong: Woman smashes chin on cooker attempting to pose for photo

Big mistake: The woman places her hands on the oven door to perform her 'plank'


This women has become an internet sensation after her planking prank went painfully wrong.

The unidentified woman, believed to be an American, is shown trying to pose for a planking picture in her kitchen, when the oven collapses on top of her.

Trying to be as straight as possible - as 'planking' rules dictate - the women inadvertently grabs the cooker door handle, which swings open pulling the whole thing down.

She smacks her chin on both the hob and the oven door before both human and machine crumple in a heap on the kitchen floor.


Going, going... : The door swings open and the cooker begins to head downwards as the poor woman smacks her chin on the hob


Miraculously the women escapes with only a bruised chin (and ego), and she manages to finally achieve her 'plank' by being snapped balancing the other way in the kitchen.

While the woman struggles on the floor - with the cooker on top of her - the person videoing the escapade does not rush to help, but laughs uncontrollably.

The video, which has already attracted thousands of hits since it was posted on YouTube on July, has also received numerous comments.

One viewer, dt6197, said: 'lmao im sorry but she had this coming, like one why plank in the first place, two, why in the hell would u plank in the damn kitchen?!'


Success at last: Finally the women, having dusted herself off, achieves a plank in the kitchen by changing ends - and pretty impressive it is too
